The Constitutional Design 2000 Conference: Institutional Design, Conflict Management, and Democracy in the Late Twentieth Century was held on the campus of the University of Notre Dame December 9-11, 1999. A host of renowned scholars from around the world presented papers, engaged in roundtable discussions, and offered commentary resulting in a publication by Andrew Reynolds entitled "The Architecture of Democracy: Constitutional Design, Conflict Management, and Democracy."
