In 2003 the Kellogg Institute for International Studies, the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies, and the Center for Civil and Human Rights at Notre Dame concluded a three-year project, funded by the Ford Foundation's Santiago office, on Democracy, Peace, and Human Rights in Colombia; The project included visiting fellowships for Colombian scholars at risk, fellowships for Colombian graduate students in international peace studies and international human rights, practical training for Colombian human rights lawyers, and international conference, and publication of a conference volume.
